Zi Channing specialises in projects involving Dispute Resolution verification exercises and investigations, including conducting ballots and elections Zi’s ADR career began at IMSSA (Independent Mediation Services of South Africa) and included a secondment to the Labour Market Chamber of Nedlac during the negotiations for the LRA no 66 of 1994 and a key role in the establishment of the CCMA and the implementation of the electronic Case Management System currently the basis of the system used today.
Zi was appointed CCMA Head of Case Management as well as a part time commissioner mediator. Further roles included HR Special Projects Manager at SARS, consultancy roles at the Dept of Labour’s Compensation Fund, Manager of dispute resolution at a number of Bargaining Councils including MEIBC, and COO of Tokiso Dispute Settlement. In the latter years Zi has conducted workplace disciplinary hearings, played consultancy roles to private business including HR systems design, dispute resolution systems design and project management within the Government and Private sectors. International experience includes case management consultancy within the gold mining sector in Tanzania.
Zi currently works as a Tokiso panellist and an independent consultant.
