Xander commenced his legal career at one of the “Big 5” South African law firms and shortly thereafter joined the National Prosecuting Authority as a Public Prosecutor at the Johannesburg Magistrates Court. He then turned to the corporate sector, where he worked as a Labour Consultant and an Industrial Relations Manager for an internationally listed Engineering concern.
He founded Wehncke Inc. Attorneys in 2015, where he is currently a director.
He is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and has extensive experience in Civil, Criminal and Labour law litigation. He is also a Part-time Commissioner of the CCMA and an accredited Commercial Arbitrator. He further serves on the panels of Tokiso, the National Bargaining Council for the Electrical Industry (NBCEI), South African Local Government Bargaining Council (SALGBC) and various other dispute resolution fora.
He specialises in Alternative Dispute Resolution, Workplace Discipline and Employment-related matters; including but not limited to – Discrimination, Restraints of Trade, Retrenchments and Executive Dismissal Disputes.
