Stephen Hardie is an attorney who acts for both employers and employees. He was previously at ENF and Cheadle Thompson and Haysom.

 As an attorney, he has acted for public and private entities as well as parastatals and local authorities both in the CCMA and the Labour Court, as well as in private arbitrations. He has advised clients on how to comply with the Employment Equity Act and represented them in complaints before the Pension Fund Adjudicator, in terms of section 30 of the Pension Funds Act. He has negotiated and drafted relevant provisions governing the transfer of businesses.

 Stephen has acted as a Judge of the Labour Court on five occasions, namely in 2011, 2013, 2016, 2018 and 2020.
