Raymond has 20 years’ experience in managing the full spectrum of human resources within a multi-national mining company and worked on the National Peace Accord as regional Chairperson. He joined the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) in 2001 as a part time senior commissioner.
In addition to being involved in dispute resolution within the context of mediation, conciliation, facilitation and arbitration he also chairs disciplinary enquiries and provides an advisory service on labour related matters. Raymond is accredited to facilitate the CCMA best practice workshops and new commissioners’ modules. He was appointed the CCMA provincial taxing officer and panellist on a number of bargaining councils. He also assists with quality control of arbitration awards.
Raymond has presented a number of labour law updates (including breakfast sessions on topical issues of law) on behalf of the CCMA to organised labour, business and commissioners throughout Mpumalanga and has facilitated numerous best practice workshops.
