PalesaProfile

Palesa Shai is a practising advocate of the High Court with Chambers located at the Clearview Chamber of Advocates. 

She is an accredited Commissioner of the Commission of Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) since 2017; a mediator of the Gauteng Rental Housing Tribunal; and is a member of the Office of Disclosure appointed by the Minister of Human Settlements to advise the Minister with reference to the Home Loans and Mortgage Disclosure Act (HLAMDA.)

 In August 2022, Advocate Shai attended the National School of Government Induction Programme for Boards and Entities where she participated in discussions on Ethics, Principles of Governance, Legislative and Regulatory Frameworks, Governance and Responsibility; and Procurement oversight and transparency in supply chain management procedures. She has deep experience and knowledge across the areas that straddle the legal environment with reference to conciliation / mediation in the business environment with a strong focus on ethics and sound governance practices.

Through her practice she has gained experience as well as broad overseeing capabilities with specific reference to corporate governance, compliance and regulation, contract law, employment law, conflict management and industrial relations.
