Navie is a Pietermaritzburg based attorney with a countrywide client base. She runs her own practice and specializes in labour and employment law issues. She has extensive experience in this arena, having worked in the corporate sector for a national retailer as an Industrial Relations and Training and Development Officer for a number of years before being admitted as an attorney.

She focuses almost exclusively on labour and employment law issues and aside from appearances at the Labour Court, the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) and various Bargaining Councils, she has appeared before the Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration Commission (CMAC) in Swaziland on a number of occasions.

Navie also lectures on a part-time basis and has a keen interest in training and development. She regularly conducts training workshops and seminars on various issues relating to employment law.
