Mpueleng Pooe is a lawyer by profession and was until December 2019 employed by Royal Bafokeng Platinum (RBPlat) as the Executive responsible for Corporate Affairs, a position which he has served in since October 2013. His responsibilities included providing leadership and management at RBPlat to ensure improved reputation management of the company through an integrated public affairs strategy that involves active stakeholder engagement and communications with all identified target audiences.

Mpueleng is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa and began his career with Bell Dewar and Hall, now Fasken Martineau, as a Lawyer. He was later appointed Director and advised clients on all aspects of employment law. During this period, while at Fasken, he had several appointments as Acting Judge of the Labour Court of South Africa. He joined AngloGold Limited in 1999 as Legal Counsel. In 2003, he left AngloGold and joined the Royal Bafokeng Group, where he worked at Royal Bafokeng Resources as Commercial and Legal Director, and later with the formation of Royal Bafokeng Holdings (RBH) in 2006, as Executive responsible for RBH’s legal and public affairs. In 2013, he joined Royal Bafokeng Platinum as Executive for Corporate Affairs.

He has served on several boards as a Director; these include the Boards of Metair Investments Limited where he was also the Chairman, Impala Platinum Holdings Limited and Impala Platinum Limited, Senwes Limited and Platinum Leopards Rugby (Pty) Limited.

Until recently, Mpueleng was also an Executive Member and the President of National Association of the Automotive Components and Allied Manufacturers (NAACAM).

His academic highlights include a Baccalareus Procurations from the University of the North, a Management Development Programme from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, a Certificate in Advance Corporate Law and Securities Law from UNISA and an International Executive Development Programme from Wits Business School.
