Mohale Calvin Lebea

Mohale is an admitted attorney and partner at Lebea & Associates Attorneys based mainly in its Polokwane branch. He commenced law practice as a Public Prosecutor, was later admitted as an Advocate of the High Court before being admitted as an Attorney.

Mohale has in addition spent more than 25 years as an academic. He was a senior lecturer in Mercantile Law at the University of Venda and later Senior Lecturer and Acting Head of the Department of Labour Law at the University of Limpopo. In the latter capacity he taught various labour law modules and supervised the research of LLM Labour Law students on various aspects of employment law.

Since 1996 Mohale served as the Convening Senior Commissioner of the CCMA Limpopo Province. He was later appointed part time Senior Commissioner for the CCMA and continues to serve the CCMA in that capacity to date. Mohale is a trainer and has conducted training for numerous clients on various aspects of labour law. He also conducted training for CCMA commissioners in several provinces on Arbitration Skills and Substantive Labour Law.

Mohale has served as a panellist of several Bargaining Councils in the private and public sectors where he arbitrated and conciliated various labour disputes.
Mohale served as a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Law Society of the Northern provinces as well as a member of the Executive Committee of the Law Chapter of the University of Limpopo Convocation. He also served as a member of the Advisory Committee of the Modjadji Royal Council.
