Mapalo

Mapalo Tsatsimpe is a mediator, arbitrator, facilitator and trainer in dispute resolution. She works in labour and commercial ADR. Mapalo is a part-time commissioner at the CCMA and provides services to various bargaining councils.

Mapalo has handled more than a thousand processes in her career; some highlights are facilitating wage/salary negotiations for both private companies and state-owned enterprises, managing Relationship by Objectives (RBO) processes for companies in the mining, food and beverage, and retail sectors, and offering training on negotiation for in a range of industries.  She conducted commissioners training for the CCMA, bargaining councils, Nelson Mandela University, Department of Education (Limpopo) and Swaziland’s Conciliation Mediation and Arbitration Commission (CMAC). She trained employees on learnership programmes, employees and councillors on Local Labour Forum Training and commissioners at the Human Rights Commission on conciliation.

Mapalo has conducted investigations at several state-owned institutions and government departments and co-facilitated business forum workshops in the mining sector. She mediated issues at large state-owned enterprises.

Mapalo was previously on the panel of appointed commissioners to conduct dispute resolution services in terms of the project labour agreement on the Medupi and Kusile construction sites, as well for the Gautrain. She conducted a wide range of section 188A Inquiry by Arbitrator processes, conciliations and arbitrations in this capacity.
