Leslie Owen

Les is a Management Consultant and Training Facilitator, specialising in Business Management, Negotiations and Conflict Resolution. He practices as a professional Negotiator, Mediator and Arbitrator, and in 2010 started teaching negotiating skills in the Middle East Countries. 

Les is a part-time lecturer for the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Graduate School of Business on the MBA Programme and is an Arbitrator for Tokiso. He is one of ten part-time Senior Commissioners with the CCMA in Durban and is regarded as a specialist in negotiation and persuasion skills. In 2014, Les was appointed to teach specialised persuasion techniques to CCMA Commissioners across South Africa. He is an arbitrator on several Bargaining Councils, including MEIBC and Transnet. Over the years he has facilitated numerous Section 189A processes for small, medium, and large businesses, across a wide variety of industries. 

In 2007, he co-produced a documentary with e-TV entitled “Leading Like Mandela”. He also contributed to chapters of two books on South Africa, i.e. “SA The Good News” and “Miracles that are Changing the Nation”, as well as his latest book “We Were Always Here”.
