Jabulani is a Tokiso panellist and a senior commissioner with the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA). He has experience training on the LRA, BCEA, EEA and Skill Development Act and serves as an arbitrator for numerous bargaining councils. He has experience in employment law, performs investigative tasks in the workplace and presiding over disciplinary enquiries. Jabulani writes opinions and advice in local tabloids to conscientise both the labour market and the corporate sector about the relevant workplace regulations.

Jabulani was involved in community mediation as part of the National Peace Accord initiatives between 1991 and 1993. His role involved Shuttle-Mediation between warring political factions of ANC and IFP in Umlazi T-Section (Men’s Hostel) and Uganda squatter camp residents in Isipingo and Malukazi. In 1995 Jabulani received extensive training in mediation from a Birmingham based private institution that offered training on conflict resolution. He obtained a certificate in conflict resolution and mediation from Bradford University in the U.K. in the same year. Whilst in the employ of the Independent Complaint’s Directorate (ICD) between 2000 and 2001 Jabulani was requested by the Provincial Division of the South African Police Service (SAPS) to mediate in the taxi operator feud who were violently contesting taxi routes.
