Imthiaz Sirkhot is an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa and serves as panellist on numerous bargaining councils.
Imthiaz is a seasoned investigator and presiding officer.
In the 1990s he was employed by the National Union of Metal Workers (NUMSA) as their National Legal Officer. He was then employed as a Commissioner at the CCMA and worked as the senior arbitrator and mediator in his group and mentored many.
Thereafter Imthiaz joined Independent Newspapers as Group Legal Advisor specialising in legal and industrial relations matters. He is a former director of Makana Media and chairperson of Kaya FM and GABZ Radio (Botswana). Imthiaz Sirkhot is the co-author of A Simple Guide to the New Labour Law.
