Humphrey Ndaba is a part-time Commissioner at the CCMA where he has facilitated major disputes in the automobile and security sectors and other disputes of national significance. He is an admitted practising advocate of the High Court and a member of the Independent Advocates Association of South Africa. Humphrey has experience as both trade unionist and senior human resource manager and has trained bargaining council commissioners. 

In 1999 Humphrey served as an acting Head of the National Bargaining Council subcommittee of the governing body that accredited bargaining councils. He also acted as chairperson of the Group for Environmental Monitoring (GEM) which worked with progressive civil society institutions nationally and internationally in fields such as trade, globalisation and North-South and South-South co-operation. 

Humphrey serves on the exemption committee of the National Bargaining Council for the Chemical Industry (NBCCI) and on the committee of preliminary enquiries of the Professional Health Council of South Africa. He has also acted as Magistrate in Johannesburg.
