Grace Mafa-Chali is a part-time senior commissioner at the CCMA. She was appointed at the CCMA in 2003 as a Provincial Registrar, and later promoted to Level A Commissioner in 2006. She served as the Convening Senior Commissioner for Limpopo Province from 01 September 2013 until she converted to a part-time Senior Commissioner on 01 October 2019.
Her work at the CCMA involved both areas of management and leadership, ensuring that administration of operations in case management is effective and efficient as well as financial management. She has conducted mediations, arbitrations, facilitations, investigations and hearings. She has done investigations and chaired disciplinary process at management level at the CCMA. She is experienced in collective bargaining issues such as matters of mutual interest and strike management.
Grace serves on panels at various bargaining councils including SARPBAC, ELRC, PHSDBC and MEIBC.
Grace has received specialist training and conducted cases involving atypical, organisational rights and employment equity.
Grace is a registered assessor and also possesses a certificate in project management.
